We are proud to share that our Managing Director, James Ovenden, has been appointed President of the Paper Industry Charitable Trust (PICT).

James is the fourth generation of the Ovenden family to lead the business, and his appointment continues a long-standing legacy of commitment to the paper industry.
Speaking at the recent PICT Annual Lunch, held at the magnificent BMA House in London, James reflected on the history of Ovenden Papers, which began just around the corner from the event venue in 1943. He honoured the values and resilience that have defined both the company and the industry, especially during challenging times.

In his speech, James expressed deep appreciation for the support of colleagues, friends, and family, paying tribute to his late father and recognising the contributions of those who continue to support the industry’s charitable efforts. He also highlighted PICT’s role in offering support to those in need within the trade, and its focus on education, benevolence, and community through sport.
The guest speaker for the event was ex England & Lions rugby international Neil Back who shared some great stories of helping those in need!
James will serve alongside Vice President Lindsay Robinson, UK Director of Fedrigoni Papers, and together with the PICT committee, will continue to drive the Trust’s mission forward.
All of us at Ovenden Papers congratulate James on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to supporting his work with PICT.
